Ogun government authorizes demolition of (RCCG) church complex in Ogun

Ogun State Government has demolished a multi-billion-naira Redeem Christian Church of God (RCCG) church complex located at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate along the Presidential Boulevard, Abeokuta, the Statecapital.
The former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Hon. Remmy Hassan is the Pastor of the Church which construction began in 2013.
At the time of its demolition at the weekend, the church, which was designed to seat hundreds of worshippers, was at the roofing stage.
There were speculations that the government’s action was in bad faith. They argue that the government took the action because of the bad blood between the StateGovernor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun and Hassan.
