Airtel strengthens network duality, boosts data coverage in Nigeria

Airtel Nigeria, has scaled up itsinvestments in network infrastructure to deepen its network quality and provide innovative solutions to its enterprise customers.
Speaking at an exclusive forum in Lagos for its Corporate Customers, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director ofAirtel Nigeria, Segun Ogunsanya said the company has just completed an Automatic Optical Switching Network (ASON), which will provide multi-path protection on Airtel’s fibre transmission network.
According to him, Airtel has also launched a new trouble ticketing tool and a Network Operating Centre for itsEnterprisecustomers.
Ogunsanya said the new investments is to demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing exceptional and highly innovative servicesand solutions toits customers.
He assured the customers that Airtel will continue to partner with them and will continuously promote a win-win partnership based on trust.

Leading the discussions were five industry experts namely, Oladipo Raji, President/CEO of Netfocus Technologies Limited; Austin Okere, CEO of Computer Warehouse Group; Chinenye Mba-Uzoukwu, CEO of InfoGraphics Nigeria and Digital Design strategist; Tani Fafunwa, Managing Directorof Resourcery Plc; and SergeYao, GMfor IT, PZ Cussons.
Jointly, they examined the merit and demerits of the issue as it affects the choices that businesses make in IT and Networks investmentin Nigeria.
