Politics: “Free education, endingpoverty and insecurity”– Presidential aspirant,Rochas Okorocha makeslofty promises

RochasOkorocha, the governor of Imo state has pledged to provide free education to all Nigerians, provided heis electedas president in 2015.
While addressing Sokoto statedelegatesthat will representtheAll ProgressivesCongress at theDecember 10 national convention, the presidential aspirant said: “I have done it in myschools spreadacrossNigeria and I will do it again if electedas the President.”
“Currently, there are over 12,000 indigent children in my schoolswith scoresof them fromthe North,” he added.
Okorocha, who madethe statementon Saturday, December 6, said his objective to becomeNigeria’s president was not born out ofa desire to amasswealth, power or get fame, but to bring desiredchange to the country.
He expressedan urgent need for social justice, equity and fairness in the affairs of Nigeria, while adding that he would work hard to end two major problems in Nigeria; poverty and unemployment.
Speaking further, Okorocha urged Nigerians to trusthim based tohis antecedentsand the love for sustainable peace and unity of the nation. He added that hewould reduce insecurity, illiteracy, poverty, militancy and kidnapping, among other social ills.
