Afro pop music star, Olamide has emerged as the top Nigerian singer trending on Google, a global search engine. The rapper cum singer topped the chart of the top trending musicians in Nigeria ahead of Phyno, Iyanya and Flavour.
Olamide, who has dropped his fourth album titled ‘Eyan Mayweather’ in almost four years, has continued to end each year in style. Woju crooner, Kiss Daniel, Lil Kesh, Phyno and Falz followed him on the list.
D’Banj, Wizkid, Yemi Alade and Tiwa Savage were omitted on the list. According to Google which read, “Nigerians’ pride in the country’s hugely popular entertainment industry is evident in the list of top trending songs with the founder of YBNL Nation, and rave of the moment, ‘Olamide’, taking pole position on the search list for Nigerian musicians and his hit track ‘Melo Melo’ leading the pack of top 10 trending songs, leaving Adele’s ‘Hello’ lying fourth behind Kiss Daniel’s ‘Woju remix’ and Olamide’s ‘Bobo”.
