Nigeria’s musician and social crusader, Charles Oputa betterknown as Charly Boy has chosen the routeof attacking on pastors over theway and manner they conducttheir serviceswith various motives.
According to the singer, he described the way the pastors are living extravagantly while some of theirmembersdo not have food toeat as the heightof wickedness.
He stated that the pastors have now turned the bible upsidedown and now preachabout prosperityrather than how to bea brother’s keeper.
In his opinion, hewrote;
How can you be living extravagantly when some church memberscan’t even afford a meal? Thatis the heightof wickedness. Enough of thedeceit, enoughof turning the bible upsidedown to suit people’s ears while theysufferin poverty.
We need spirituality not religiosity. Even with all thesechurchesatevery junction and every bending corner,every brothel and hotel, morality is at an all time low. The church should be a place for spiritual nourishment and not a kalukalu venture, or for prosperity preaching. Pastors should concentrate moreon how we should all beour brothers keepers, rather thanpraying for usto be rich like them.
Goddoes not operate like a Babalawo neither is hea Nigerian. I am wondering if metoo won’t open my own church ,but it will be different because i will never use Godsnamein vain. All theseour so called Men of God should come out and hustle like real men and stop using psychology to deceive ignorant people and take theirmoney.Haba!!! I guess that is their own hustle.
