How Jonah Jang Lavished N3 Billion On Gov.Primaries By Yakubu Busari,Jos

The former Director Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA , and Gubernatorial aspirant on the just concluded PDP primaries ,Engr.Jimmy Zingtim Cheto has accused governor Jonah David Jang for spending 3 billion naira to conduct the PDP governorship primaries and buying of delegates.

Addressing some group of journalists yesterday at the NUJ press center on the fate of the party wining the forthcoming general elections.

Cheto blamed the Plateau state government for lavishing over 3 billion naira on the delegates for Sen GNS Pwajok to win.

Engr. Jimmy Cheto lamented that the state government have not paid civil servants in the past three to four month yet each delegates was paid 2 million naira each for the anointed candidate to win at all cost.

"We are appealing to the national secretariat of the party to address the problem before leading to another anarchy ",he explained.

He said the people of Plateau have rejected the result that GNS Pwajok was not the winner but that the election rigged by the state government using the available resources main for the payment of staffs salaries.

Cheto added that "we are showing our dissatisfaction to the national secretariat of the party but if the party refused to act on it, plateau people are ready to speak through their votes" .

He warned that if President Goodluck Jonathan cannot call the leadership of party to order on this allegation PDP shall lost the state, we shall work for the opposition to take over the state.

According to him, about 16 aspirants indicated interest to contest for the PDP primaries but only 12 aspirants participate fully in the exercise, some of us all stage a walk out during the voting .

He pointed out that plateau has 56 ethnics nationality but only one tribe have been in power for over 8 years.

Engr. Cheto stressed further that the southern and central Plateau have promised to obey the constitutional arrangement of zoning which is enshrine in the 1999 constitution.

He noted that the outcome of primaries will not be acceptable or any attempt to impose a candidate to us by the ruling people democratic party at state and national level will be resisted.
