Arsenal are hopeful of beating Liverpool to the signing of Barcelona star Pedro with a £26million bid set to go in for his services, UK’s Metro reports.
Pedro looks set to leave Barca in the new year having reportedly fallen out with new boss Luis Enrique – and a switch to the Premier League is on the cards.
Liverpool are apparently extremely keen on a deal, but reports suggest Arsenal will offer £26million in order to try to win the race.
Barca are likely to consider selling for that amount, and with Liverpool keen on defenders and strikers, the Gunners could get this transfer done quickly.
