Once upon a time a commander was leading his squadron to a hit site where they were supposed to perform an offensive on their enemies, but on their way they got a spot that was just to quiet, the commander then ordered some of his men to survey the area ahead, unknown to them that that was their last day on earth they cocked their rifles and started walking slowly towards the area, but before they could move ahead one of the men decided to bend his head and utter a short prayer because he was so scared, after his short prayer he turned to his left and saw something move in the bushes, he then alerted his team of his diversion and took a turn to check what was in the bushes.
On getting to the spot, he noticed a badge on the ground and reached for it but immediately he slipped and fell into a cover hole that was dug by the enemies, he broke his ankle in the process and was experiencing excruciating pain,he cried and cried for help, but no one could help him, he tried to reach for the top but he couldn't, he was stranded and was gradually beginning to loose consciousness at that time he was confused, he felt hopeless and just felt like shooting himself to stop the pain, he didn't want to leave his family behind like that, so he uttered a last prayer saying Lord help me and guide me safe passage to heaven if I die and he instantly blacked out.
The next time he opened his eyes, he was on a stretcher in military clinic, he turned to his side and saw a nurse trying to adjust the drip that was on his side, he then asked her what had happened.
She smiled and explained to him that there had been a raid on his squadron and they had all died but he was the only survivor, she then smiled and told him that a soldier amongst the rescue team had also noticed a movement in that bush and had decided to check it out and eventually found a hole with a man inside and that man was you. He then broke down and started crying saying thank you lord .
Lesson:
•we may find ourselves in situations where we think that all hope is lost, but the truth is that when you decide to commit everything to God and admit that we can't do it all on our own, then God can even use the smallest and most unreasonable thing to serve as your saving grace.
•Always follow your instinct, you may never know what good awaits you, the best choice you can ever make is the choice taken by you.
Quote: Almighty. When I'm depressed with self-doubt,
insecurity & hopelessness in my heart, help me find myself
again. Fill my heart with hope
