The IndependentNational Electoral Commission (INEC) has just said it will announce the resultof tomorrow’s Presidential elections within 48 hours after the polls close…so the winner should be announcedat thevery latest on Monday, March 30.
This information was given by Prof. Attahiru Jega the INEC chairman, on Friday, in Abuja during a joint press briefing with the Director General of theNational Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Johnson Olawumi.
The INEC Chairman also said that aftercasting theirvotes, peoplecan wait and thepolling stationto find out who won in theirarea. He said:
Thereis no controversy whetherpeopleshould voteand go or stay. People should remain to know who wins in theirpolling unit as long as theyremain calm. The statementof theIG is only advisory.
