Nigerian politicians need psychiatric evaluation, TRUE or FALSE?

Dr Kayode Obembe, the President of the Nigeria Medical Association, believes Nigerian politicians should be made to undergo psychiatric tests.

The President of of the Nigeria Medical Association, Dr Kayode Obembe has advocated that all politicians » vying for elective positions » in the country » must be mandated to go for a psychiatric test before they are allowed to contest. He also recommended to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to register all psychiatric doctors in the country for that effect.

Dr Obembe's position stems from the fact that politicians carry on as if they are mentally deranged when they are voted into power with they way they arrogate powers to themselves, forgetting the people that voted them in, looting public funds without recourse to the people as well as the decisions they take while in office.

Many Nigerians in the past have clamoured for this tests as a necessary criteria for politicians and with the President of the NMA coming out to state this position, it has now become a matter of necessity.

On Morning Teaser today, we ask: with the way Nigerian politicians behave, do you agree that Nigerian politicians should be subjected to psychiatric tests?
