Kano - The Federal government has decided to release the Chad-bound Russian plane that was detained at the Aminu Kano Airport, Premium Times reported. The Chief Air of Staff, Adesola Amosu said this afternoon that the government approved the release of the plane and had no reason to keep it.
Also read: Nigeria detains Russian cargo plane with military shipment to Chad The cargo plane was carrying helicopters and military equipment and had departed from Central African Republic bound to Chad. Nigerian authorities however did check the plane and due to the nature of the cargo authorized the plane to leave.
